Election Day is just over a month away and several states will begin closing registration in the coming weeks, starting Tuesday, October 9. Now is the time to register to vote or check your registration status to make sure you are ready to vote on November 6.
Here are some helpful tools to help you prepare for Election Day:
- The Election Protection Smartphone App provides “all you need to know about voting in the palm of your hand.” State-info is also available at www.866OurVote.org.
- The League of Women Voter’s www.Vote411.org provides voter registration and voting information by state.
- NonProfit Vote’s “Voting In Your State” map helps you to register to vote, check your registration status, find your polling place, and more.
- ACLU’s “quick tips for voters” ensures that you “know your voting rights.” Also available in Spanish.
