unselfie_collage_540x425Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has built a global movement around charitable giving.

One of the biggest ways that people around the world have embraced the movement is with the #UNselfie, or the selfless selfie, a powerful way to show how you’re giving and why giving is important to you.

And we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this day than to share with you our #UNselfies, and to show you why we work towards voting rights for all.

In communities across the country, the fight for the vote is meeting the movement around criminal justice reform, health care reform, immigration reform, economic equality, access to quality housing and education, and climate change. As this nationwide movement for social justice is gaining strength, Project Vote is focused on closing the gaps in voter registration and democratic participation to create momentum for permanent change.

American democracy has always been a work in progress. But the movement has begun, and our democracy needs to catch up. Today, more than 200 years after our country’s founding, Americans are still fighting—in the streets, in the courts, and in legislatures—to expand the franchise and achieve a more perfect electorate.

Project Vote will continue our work to build an electorate that accurately represents the diversity of America’s citizenry, and to ensure that every eligible citizen can register, vote, and cast a ballot that counts.

Meet Project Vote as we meet the movement.
