Project Vote welcomes Sylvia Albert, a volunteer attorney with Project Vote’s Government Agency Voter Registration program.

Sylvia assists Project Vote’s litigation team in ensuring public assistance agencies comply with their obligations under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. Prior to Project Vote, she worked to protect vulnerable populations from housing and lending discrimination at the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (Dept. of HUD) and at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. Ms. Albert also served as the Nevada Deputy Voter Protection Coordinator for a 2008 presidential campaign, where she created and managed a strategic program to ensure voters’ rights were safeguarded. Ms. Albert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

“Project Vote’s work is vital to ensuring that all eligible voters, including those in marginalized communities, are afforded the right to cast a ballot,” said Sylvia. “I am eager to do my part to aid voters in fulfilling the promise of the constitution.”
