Online Registration Advocacy Toolkit

This suite of materials includes a model bill, sample testimony, and other useful documents on the subject of Online Voter Registration.

Online registration uses technology to streamline the voter registration process for individuals using a computer to transmit the application directly to the election office, and for already-registered voters to update their own information, for example when they change address.  Online registration has proven to be a great time and money-saver for states that have implemented it, minimizing data entry errors, helping to keep voter rolls current, and mitigating Election Day problems that often necessitate the use of provisional ballots.

We hope that these materials will help you to promote the benefits of online registration with your legislators and other policy makers.
