Hearings for important election bills are scheduled as follows:

Today, September 14:

United States

Vote by Mail bill, HR 1604 is on the House Union Calendar and will be considered on the House floor today. This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to allow all eligible voters to vote by mail in Federal elections.

Election Challengers bill, HR 3489 is on the House Union Calendar and will be considered on the House floor today. This bill amends HAVA to prohibit voter challenges on the grounds that the challenged voter resides in a household in a jurisdiction that is subject to foreclosure proceedings OR a jurisdiction that has been affected by natural disaster.

Pennsylvania

Felon Voting bill, H 1072 is scheduled to be heard on the House floor today. This bill provides that upon release, former prisoners would be provided with voter registration materials. The Department of Corrections would provide registration materials to administrators of each institution.
