Why Voter ID is a “Burden”

Andrew Rosenthal at the New York Times answers questions on the voter ID debate, including why it’s not OK to require ID for voting (but OK when boarding a plane or buying alcohol) and why it’s a “burden” on voters.

“Every time I write about voter ID laws, I get a flood of angry messages over email and Twitter, and confused comments on this blog, many from readers who genuinely don’t understand why this is a big deal. So I thought I’d try to clear things up.”
